Dentistry at Frederick is more than just another dental office in Kitchener – we’ve been a trusted partner in the oral health journey of countless Kitchener families. What began as Dr. Almeida’s vision to provide gentle, comprehensive dental care has grown into a practice where multiple generations say they feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in their smiles.
Located in the heart of Kitchener on Frederick Street, our practice has witnessed the growth and changes in our beloved community while maintaining our core commitment: treating every patient like family.
Dr. Mikaela Almeida completed her Bachelor of Science degree with distinction at the University of Guelph with an honours specialization in Bio-Medical Science. With a thirst for knowledge and early exposure to dentistry from her mother, a registered dental hygienist of 40 years, she developed a passion for the dental profession and maintenance of oral health.
Dr. Almedia then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. While there, Dr. Almeida was recognized for her research involvements and was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honour Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honour Society for her commitment to service and academic achievements, respectively.
Dr. Almeida recognizes that dental visits can be a stressful experience, and strives to make your visit as comfortable as possible by approaching each encounter with a listening ear, empathetic demeanor, and patient-centred mindset. Dr. Almedia continues to devote herself to lifelong learning through completion of continuing education courses with a goal of providing her patients with the best possible care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Almeida enjoys being active through water skiing and hiking outdoors, travelling, watching hockey games, and spending time with family, friends, and, of course, her dog, Charlie. She, and the entire Dentistry at Frederick team, looks forward to meeting you at your next appointment!

With over 18 years of experience in dental hygiene, Susie is dedicated to providing exceptional oral care with a gentle and personalized approach. Throughout her career she has built lasting relationships with patients by prioritizing their comfort, trust, and overall well-being. Susie takes pride in creating a positive dental experience for every patient, ensuring they feel informed and at ease during each visit. Her commitment to excellence, continued education, and compassionate care has made her a respected and trusted professional in the dental community.
Outside the clinic, Susie enjoys riding equestrian dressage with her team in Breslau, competing in shows across Ontario. She also loves spending time up north on the water, where she can relax and recharge surrounded by nature.
Taylor began her journey in oral health at Niagara College, where she completed the Pre-Health Sciences program before pursuing her passion for dental care through the Dental Hygiene program.
With over five years of experience in both general dentistry and a pediatric dental office, Taylor is dedicated to creating positive, comfortable dental experiences for patients of all ages. Known for her gentle touch and caring approach, she strives to make every appointment as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Taylor values patient education and prevention, helping each person achieve and maintain a healthy, confident smile.
Outside of the office, Taylor loves staying active and spending time outdoors. Whether she’s on the go exploring new places or enjoying nature with her two-year-old son, she brings the same energy, warmth, and positivity to both her personal life and her work with patients.
Elishia first joined the dental world five years ago as a dental assistant but quickly realized her superpower wasn’t suctioning—it was leadership! This natural shift is driven by her passion for building trust and connecting with people, making patients’ appointments genuinely positive experiences. She confidently guides a great clinical team, using knowledge, guidance, and compassion to ensure every patient feels completely at ease and knows that their oral health is always our main priority.
When Elishia isn’t focused on patient care, she channels her outgoing energy into the great outdoors. She loves camping, beach days, watching baseball and hockey, and finds balance in good music and quality time with her family and pets.
Leeanne is the dedicated Dental Administrator at Dentistry at Frederick, known for her bright smile, warm professionalism, and ability to instantly put patients at ease. With a foundation in dental assisting, she brings both clinical insight and exceptional organizational skills to the front desk ensuring every visit flows smoothly from “hello” to checkout. Leeanne plays an essential role in keeping the clinic running with both efficiency and heart.
Outside the office, Leeanne is a proud mom of two energetic boys who keep her on her toes and inspired. She loves singing, dancing, and bringing her creative side to life through arts and crafts. With her joyful spirit and dedication to making every patient feel cared for, Leeanne adds both excellence and sunshine to the Dentistry at Frederick team each day.
Bailey brings warmth and expertise to our team. She first completed the Dental Assistant program in 2017, and after taking time to focus on her family is delighted to be back in the dental field. Bailey is genuinely patient-oriented and approaches every interaction with an empathetic, friendly, and happy demeanor, ensuring all clients feel at ease.
Outside of her professional role, Bailey loves dedicating time to her family and enjoys catching hockey games in her spare time. She is looking forward to getting to know all the wonderful patients at Dentistry at Frederick!
